Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation Temperature

The IWPD research team has recently calculated the temperature of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR) to be 2.72495 K.  This calculation was based on a model suggesting that space is created through a decay process of matter.  This temperature is in excellent agreement with the currently reported value of 2.725 K.


The IWPD prediction is believed to be accurate to six significant figures and provides a prediction that may be tested upon future refinements in the measured temperature of the CMBR.


With the recent launch of the Planck Satellite by the European Space Agency, this becomes a very timely prediction that may well be confirmed or rejected within a relatively short time period.
